To that end, Rivet goes with Ratchet to his home dimension to stop both Nefarious' from taking over Megalopolis. Realizing that things are getting tense, they both apologize at the same time and prepare to face off with Emperor Nefarious. After she has an argument with Kit, Ratchet confronts Rivet saying that she didn't dissevered to be left behind, resulting in both Lombax's arguing with one another. At one point, Ratchet is captured along with all of Rivet's friends, forcing her to rescue all of them. Throughout the game afterwards, Ratchet and Rivet have small interactions with each other at certain intervals. At Rivet's request, Ratchet allows her to fight Nefarious instead of him, only for Emperor Nefarious to arrive and steal the Dimensionator. Despite a somewhat awkward first face-to-face, they agree to work together to defeat Dr Nefarious.

Though the call ends up being mostly about planning on how to deal with Dr Nefarious, once the call ends both Ratchet and Rivet exclaim - unknowingly at the same time - "Woah! Another Lombax!" Once Ratchet has rebuilt the Dimensionator and Rivet has acquired a Blizan Crystal, they meet up for the first time in person, with Rivet awkwardly practicing how she is going to introduce herself to Ratchet. The first time Ratchet and Rivet talk to each other is after Rivet repairs Clank's communicator. Most of these moments suggest that they care about each other, likely because they recognize each other as not only counterparts but also of the same species, something that both characters have minimal experience with. However, they do have some moments of interaction over long distance communication. Furthermore, the two never meet each other directly until the second half of the game, and even then they spend very little time together.

As a result, Ratchet hasn't interacted with Rivet as much as other characters in the series. To date, Ratchet and Rivet have only appeared together in Rift Apart - Rivet's debut game in the series. RatchetxRivet is the het ship between Ratchet and Rivet from the Ratchet and Clank fandom.
